Tips for Keeping Your Leads Coming in During Seasonal Changes

Apr 17, 2023

If you're struggling to maintain a steady flow of leads for your business, particularly during seasonal changes, you're not alone. In a recent Combat Business Success LIVE Show, Paul Halme and Amy Magers shared some helpful tips on how to keep your leads flowing, prospects coming through your doors, and new members signing up, even during the warmer months.

While seasonality affects many businesses, including those in the fitness and martial arts industries, it doesn't mean you should give up on growing your academy or achieving your goals. Instead, it's important to adapt your tactics to suit the changing seasons.

During the spring and summer months, people tend to spend more time outside and participate in outdoor activities, making it more challenging to get prospects to commit to showing up for their appointments or attending classes. Consider adjusting your focus by offering outdoor classes or activities that your students can participate in together, like a fun run or a tough mudder type event.

One of the biggest issues during the warmer months is people setting appointments and then not showing up. Instead of letting these missed appointments go, consider adding a "Follow Up Power Hour" to your day to reach out to these individuals and try to get them back into your gym. Paul Halme recently implemented a double power hour strategy, with one hour dedicated to prospecting and the other to rescheduling appointments, resulting in five signups in just two days.

As Brazilian Jiu Jitsu academy owners ourselves, we know that keeping your leads coming in during seasonal changes can be challenging, but it's not impossible. By adapting your tasks to suit the changing seasons and implementing creative strategies, you can keep your business thriving year-round. Don't get discouraged during slow periods – use them as an opportunity to try new things and come up with fresh ideas to keep your business moving forward.
