Be seen everywhere
Jun 16, 2025I say this a lot — and I’ll keep saying it.
I was watching a debate go down in a Facebook group the other day. A bunch of school owners were arguing about whether Instagram works for martial arts schools.
It was kind of funny. So much energy spent debating instead of just doing.
Here’s my take: Just post on it and work the platform.
You want to be seen everywhere — not just where you like to hang out. Your future students might be on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google, YouTube, or watching IG Stories on repeat.
So why limit yourself?
Have someone at your front desk (or on your team) take ownership of getting content out. Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Google posts — all of it. Get your school showing up on every channel consistently.
Because here’s the truth:
It takes time for someone to decide to walk into your gym. Most people aren’t ready on day one. You’ve got to stay visible and keep the conversation going until they are ready.
Keep putting out good, fresh content.
Being seen everywhere builds familiarity and trust. And that leads to more students in the long run.
Here’s what to do:
-
Set up a simple system.
-
Post regularly.
-
See what gets engagement.
-
Do more of that.
You don’t need a huge budget. It’s free to post unless you're outsourcing it — and even then, it’s still one of the best returns on investment you can make.
Bottom line: Don’t overthink it. Just get your school out there. Be seen everywhere.
